If today's scientists warn us that the Universe is not a stable given as was believed in Newton's day, they also reassure us that lifeforms are not a stable given either, but rather are ever evolving to stay in tune with a dangerously changeable world.
The fecundity of lifeform diversity and the fecundity and diversity of the human imagination is ever-renewable ; in fact they might just be our most important form of renewable energy.....
